Plot Overview
With Hannibal in his custody, Mason prepares to savour his revenge. However, Alanna is uneased when she learns that Will is part of his plot. Meanwhile, Margot learns that Mason has found a surrogate for the eggs he removed from her.

- Chiyoh saves Jack's life and he tells her where Will and Hannibal are being taken.
- Mason plans to have Cordell transplant Will's face unto his when he eats Hannibal. Instead, he comes to and finds Cordell's is crudely put on his.
- Mason is killed, but not before Hannibal helps Alana and Margot take his sperm.

- Hannibal's "iron and silver" line to Chiyoh is lifted from Hannibal, in a letter he had written to Clarice early in the novel.
Memorable Moments
- As Cordell goes to apply moisturiser to Will's face, Will takes a chunk out of his cheek. Hannibal looks on with pride.
- Margot and Alana find Mason's surrogate is a pig and remove the stillborn baby.
- As Alana and Margot attempt to drown him, Mason's eel darts into his open mouth, killing him.
