Plot Overview

The episode focuses on the Griffins putting their unique spin on three familiar Grimm fairy tales: Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella.

Peter reads three tales written by Grimm as a bedtime story to Stewie.

The first is Jack and the Beanstalk in which Peter is Jack. Like the Grimm story, Jack sells the family cow for six magic beans. His wife (Lois) is angry that he would purchase six beans and throw them out the window. Planted in the ground, the beans grow into the sky and Jack climbs onto the clouds to meet the golden goose (Stewie) and encounters the giant (Chris). Jack grabs the golden goose which would give he and his wife financial independence and escape the giant.

The second Story is Little Red Riding Hood. Red (Stewie) is on his/her way to grandma's house to delivery goodies when he/she encounters a talking wolf (Brian). They talk and Red proceeds to grandma's house. The wolf bluffs his way into grandma's house by disguising his voice as Red. He then devours grandma. Red enters and not willing to go through the fairy tale's story alters the story. A woodsman (Peter) enters to devour the wolf.

The third Grimm story is Cinderella. Cinderella (Lois) is being mistreated by her stepmother (Babs) and her gross stepsisters (Meg and Stewie). An invitation is sent to all to attend the ball given by the prince (Peter). The women including Cinderella have beautiful dresses. But the stepsisters, jealous perhaps of Cinderella's dress, destroy it, thus preventing Cinderella from going to the ball. Cinderella will go when her fairy godfather (Adam West) appears. He makes a different kind of dress which is just as beautiful as her previous dress. He then turns Cinderella's horse (Brian) into a horse which would take Cinderella to the ball with carriage (Joe). She, of course, is told to be back home before she changes back to her old self. Once at the ball, Cinderella catches the eye of the prince. Just as they are acquainted, the bell strikes midnight and Cinderella runs off into the night. She barely makes it home before her, the mule, and carriage changes back to their original form. The prince was so captivated by Cinderella that he sends his servants out in search of the woman who foot fits the glass slipper left when Cinderella ran from the ball. The prince himself goes out in search of the woman whose heart was captivated by her. He finds Cinderella, they marry, and proceed to live a happy life... for a while where, according to Peter's telling, they would divorce many years later.

After finishing these tales, Peter leaves Stewie sound asleep.
