Army of Ghosts (1) is the twelfth episode of the twenty-eighth season of Doctor Who, and the seven hundred forty-fourth episode overall.

The Doctor and Rose return to Earth, only to discover that there are ghosts everywhere, and they finally meet the Torchwood Institute.

• Ghost Busters: The Doctor and Rose quote the catchphrase from Ivan Reitman's 1984 action comedy Ghost Busters, which saw a group of geeky parapsychologists set up a ghost removal service.
