History
Toon Disney was intended to complement the Disney Channel's variety of programming for kids and families by providing continuous—and at times exclusive—access to Disney’s animated programming. Toon Disney was also the primetime home to the Jetix programming block, which premiered in February 2004.
In August 2008, Disney announced that they would be rebranding the network Disney XD, starting February 13, 2009.
