Comedy Gold was a Canadian Category-B specialty channel owned by Bell Media. An offshoot of The Comedy Network, the channel specialized in airing sitcoms and sketch comedies originally produced between the 1970s and the 1990s. From its original sign-on in 2001 until 2010, it was originally branded as a Canadian version of TV Land, with a mix of classic sitcom and drama programming.
