[edit] Plot Overview
Two months after the events of last season's finale, Piper has barely left the house with her two sons but that suddenly changes when Phoebe suggests that she and Leo go to their friend's wedding. During the ceremony, the couple is inexplicably infused with magical essences belonging to Hindu gods, causing Piper to grow two extra sets of arms.
Meanwhile, Leo is still chasing Barbas after his assistance in helping Gideon. However, Barbas uses his mental powers to trick Leo into killing an Elder named Zola. Phoebe and Paige soon track down Barbas and vanquish him. When everything is sorted out, Leo is approached by a trio of mysterious floating heads.
Phoebe takes a sabbatical from The Bay Mirror and her ghostwriter is a man named Leslie.

Once again, Charmed proves to be unable to produce an engaging season premiere. Sure it had many magical hijinks, as one would expect in a typical episode of this show, but it served no purpose to the plot. Additionally, Nick Lachey did not help matters with his tedious character, who is supposedly going to sweep Phoebe off her feet because God forbid she ever find someone at places outside of The Bay Mirror. The Barbas vanquish was anticlimactic, considering how many times he's already been vanquished or banished within the course of this show. The only thing worth watching in this episode was perhaps the Creature Heads haunting Leo, but then again, you could just very well ignore the episode entirely and catch that part in the credits whenever Brian Krause's name pops up.
