Season One of Century City premiered on March 16, 2004. The show was canceled by its home network CBS after only four episodes had been broadcast. Universal HD started airing the series on November 29, 2004, including all previously unaired episodes.
Both networks showed the season out of order. Although all legal cases in the show are independent, the misordering broke the continuity of some background storylines such as Darwin's relationship with Voxy and the spreading knowledge of Lee May's origin.
