Century City is a science fiction drama that aired on CBS. Los Angeles in the year 2030. The attorneys at the law firm of Crane, Constable, McNeil & Montero deal with an array of precedent-setting cases triggered by the development of new technologies such as cloning, bionics, genetic profiling, and ubiquitous surveillance.
All episodes follow the same rigid format: In the teaser, a client presents with a seemingly preposterous, but serious case. After the credits, the firm has a roundtable discussion explaining the background of the lawsuit. Afterwards, a second client comes in with a generally more lighthearted concern, and both cases are resolved by the end of the episode.
The show was canceled by the network after only four episodes had been broadcast.
