Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is an animated children's comedy program. It was based on the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes film series, particularly the second entry, Return of the Killer Tomatoes.

Young pizza deliverer Chad Finletter assists a crack ground-roots squad of civilians, led by his uncle Wilbur Finletter, against the tomato onslaught created by Dr. Gangrene. Tara Boumdeay is the wild card of the bunch, who was created as a fruit tomato and turns into a human tomato (metaphorically) after being sprinkled with salt. She turns into the food product after she sneezes.

The show's theme:
Attack of the killer tomatoes
Attack of the killer tomatoes
From Gangrene's lab come forth each week
The ripe red
monsters of which we speak
Except when he has a security leak

Tomatoes! Tomatoes!

Oh isn't it a pity
Tomatoes eating the city
Can no one stop these mutant fruits?
Where will we find our brave recruits?
Can Wilbur get rid of that dumb parachute?

Tomatoes! Tomatoes! Tomatoes!
