Alex Trebek was a Canadian game show host and television personality.
Biography
He started out hosting a handful of shows in his native Canada before coming to the US and hosting more. He is best known for hosting Jeopardy!, which he had done since 1984 and continued to do until shortly before his death from pancreatic cancer at age 80 on November 8, 2020 in Los Angeles.

Trivia
- Trebek is the only host in American TV history to host three daily national game shows at the same time. In 1991 he hosted Jeopardy!, Classic Concentration and To Tell the Truth.
- He is one of only four people to host a game show in the United States and Canada at the same time.
- Was an announcer for the TGIF programming block on ABC.
