The Æon Flux Shorts premiered in 1991 on Liquid Television. The pilot episode was spread across six shorts (running between two to three minutes) in a serialized format during the first season. Eventually, the pilot was compiled into a single "movie" which lasted roughly 12 minutes. The second season consisted of the last five shorts (running between three to five minutes), which were all entirely stand-alone.
