X-Men (1992–1997) is an animated series based on the Marvel Comics characters, often adapting actual comic book stories for a (mostly) Saturday morning children's show format.

The show focuses on a group of humans who have been born with the capability to have special abilities and powers. The world in general does not accept them, and one such mutant, Charles Xavier, gathers a group to train them to use these abilities for all mankind's benefit. However, no every mutant feels as Xavier does, and use their powers for other means. Xavier's group, called the X-Men, must fight intolerance and prejudice, not to mention other mutants whose motives are more sinister than peaceful coexistence.
