Windfall is a drama that airs on NBC about a group of 20 friends who each win a share of a $386 million lottery jackpot. The series premiered on June 8, 2006 on NBC, overtaking the timeslot for ER during the summer season. Originally it was developed for FOX during the 2005 pilot season, but they did not pick it up. Eventually NBC did and considered adding it as a 2006 midseason replacement before settling on a summer run.^[1]
