Plot Overview

Sumomo announces that the new breed of oni just showed up at the Cat's Eye Café. Syaoran and Kurogane are concerned, while Kotoko says they do not know what will happen next.

At the café, Seishiro asks about the oni slayers again, and Fai says they stepped out. Seishiro then asks about Fai, who he knows has magic. Fai says he just runs the café, and he can sense Seishiro's magic as well. Seishiro says he wants to get rid of the two oni hunters, and summons two oni.

Kurogane and Syaoran hurry back to the café.

Seishiro confirms that Fai travels with Syaoran, and as Syaoran does not have powers, Seishiro knows he gave something previous away to Yūko. Fai mentions that Seishiro must have given her something too, since he doesn't have the power to travel between worlds either. Seishiro confirms that he gave her his right eye, and he has reached the limit of how many worlds he can travel to. He doesn't intend to waste this opportunity to find the two he is searching for. He attacks Fai. Fai easily dodges the blow, but his foot is still injured. Seishiro notes that Fai could escape easily if he just used magic. Fai has decided not to. But he's also decided he doesn't want to die, either. He tells Mokona to watch carefully, and let Syaoran know everything that happens. Seishiro pulls out Sakura's feather. He has the oni attack Fai. Fai manages to dodge most of the attacks, keeping off his bad foot and leaping around the room. He throws some darts at one of the oni, but they don't damage it. He lands on top of a table on his bad foot, unbalancing him. He looks up only to see the oni's claw come straight at his head. The oni grabs his his limp body.

Seishiro uses the feather to send out a strange, multi-colored wave. People across the city start to disappear, including the City Hall receptionist (Blanche), the bartender at Clover (Caldina), the three informants (Eri, Kentaro, Takeshi), and the tower attendants (Sumomo and Kotoko). Oruha is alone at Clover, unaffected. But she knows it is the interferer doing this.

Back at the plaza, Ryuou, Souma, Kusanagi, and Yuzuriha are surrounded by identical oni. They speculate that someone is tampering with things, and Kusanagi and Souma think that all of the foreigners should be deported until the troubles are over. Ryuou and Yuzuriha object because they've become friends with Syaoran and Sakura. They see Kurogane and Syaoran run by.

The café has been wrecked, Mokona is crying, and Sakura has started walking toward her feather again. Kurogane and Syaoran finally get back there, and Mokona tells them about Fai. But Mokona has no idea where Sakura went, and thinks she might have been kidnapped. Syaoran decides to go after them, and tells Kurogane to stay with Mokona. Kurogane questions him, and Syaoran admits he can't beat Seishiro, but he's going anyway. Kurogane lets him leave, saying he'll handle things his way if Syaoran doesn't come back.

Syaoran meets up with Seishiro, who has the feather but not Sakura. He tells Syaoran that Fai is dead. Syaoran is shocked, and says he will have to kill Seishiro now. Seishiro says Syaoran hasn't changed from when they met. We see a flashback of Syaoran as a child, being attacked for a book he just bought for his father. Seishiro appears and knocks out the robbers, then tells Syaoran he needs to see something in book, though he doesn't mean to take it. He is looking for two vampires, and believes that the book may have information on them. Syaoran gives him the book. That night he looks at it, but has trouble reading the ancient writing. Syaoran notes that he isn't from around here, and Seishiro says that neither is Syaoran. Syaoran notices that Seishiro's right eye is also blind, just like his. He asks what Seishiro does, and Seishiro says he's a vampire hunter, and what he needs right now is someone who can read the book. Syaoran says he can read, but he wants to learn how to fight in return.

Back in the present, Seishiro summons more oni to fight Syaoran. While Syaoran fends them off, Seishiro explains that he wants to meet the I-1 oni, because supposedly it has a power to grant immortality, and the two vampires he is searching for might be with it. He notes that Syaoran has become a better fighter. Sakura shows up, and she sees them fighting. Seishiro notes that he must destroy anyone more powerful than him; anyone who could defeat the I-1 oni before he can get to it. Which means he must kill Syaoran as well. He fashions one of the oni into a bladed weapon, then stabs Syaoran through the chest. The oni surround Syaoran and envelop him, and he starts to break apart and disappear. Sakura runs up to him. He tells her to leave, but she refuses and grabs him, disappearing as well.
