Premise
Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog experience life and adventure in different parts of the globe as well as their jungle home while practising their "hakuna matata" ("no worries") philosophy. Each episode typically consist of two 11-minute segments.
During the first three seasons of the show, it occasionally includes segments starring Rafiki the mandrill ("Rafiki Fables"), Shenzi, Banzai & Ed the hyenas ("The Laughing Hyenas"), and Zazu the hornbill. Simba, the Lion King himself, makes a handful of appearances.
While the show introduces some new, recurring characters, only a few appear in more than four episodes: Quint, the archenemy of the heroes appears all through the show, while another antagonist, Smolder the Bear, is added for the final season. Additionally, during the original four-season run, the Vulture Police, makes several appearances.
