The Yogi Bear Show is a spinoff of The Huckleberry Hound Show, in which Yogi first appeared. It was Hanna-Barbera's third big hit series, after Huck and Quick Draw McGraw.

Yogi lived in Jellystone Park where his predilection for picnic baskets were slowly developed. His pal Boo Boo wistfully tagged along, and they both had to deal with Ranger Smith.

Along with Yogi were Yakky Doodle, a naive little duck whose bulldog pal Chopper protects him from Fibber Fox; and Snagglepuss, about a stage-struck mountain lion; he first appeared in 1959 in episodes of Quick Draw McGraw.

New episodes of Yogi Bear were made for syndication in 1988 with Greg Burson filling in as Yogi's voice, as the original voice, Daws Butler, died earlier that year.
