The Yogi Bear Show (1988) was an all-new series of animated cartoons starring Jellystone Park's star inhabitant, Yogi Bear.
There were three cartoons per show, with Ranger Smith acquiring an assistant ranger named Rubideux. Another new character, Ninja Raccoon was added, and coming from Wacky Races was Blubber Bear. Unlike cartoons of the time in 1988, the background music used was the Hoyt Curtin scores from the 1961 cartoons.
Later in the series, episodes from the original Yogi Bear cartoons were sprinkled in.
Hanna-Barbera Productions produced the show, with distribution currently handled by Warner Bros. Television, the owner (through Turner Entertainment) of the Hanna-Barbera library.
