The Thing (1979) is an animated comedy / superhero action program. It was a loose adaptation of The Thing from the Marvel Comics character, usually seen as part of The Fantastic Four. It aired on NBC, but not by itself. It first aired as part of Fred and Barney Meet The Thing and later Fred and Barney Meet the Shmoo.
