Plot Overview

Hired by an investment banker to check out a crooked high-stakes poker game, Rockford discovers that his client lied to him...he's really an Assistant D.A., who as it turns out, has ties to some of the players in the game, who happen to be mobsters. When the duplicitous lawyer is killed, Rockford gets help from another ADA in going after the bad guys.

  • On Rockford's answering machine: A message from Rocky, who doesn't appear in this episode: "I got the bill and I'm trying to figure out what everybody owes on L.J.'s birthday party. Tell me, did you order the Pink Lady?".
