The Groovie Goolies and Friends was a syndicated repackaging of Filmation cartoon shows, primarily featuring the Groovie Goolies. They had previously starred in 1970's Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies and then was split off into their own single series a year later.
In this daily series, additional features were:
- The New Adventures of Gilligan
- Lassie's Rescue Rangers
- My Favorite Martians
- The New Adventures of Waldo Kitty
- Fraidy Cat, M*U*S*H and Wacky & Packy (all previously elements of ABC's short-lived 1975 series Uncle Croc's Block)
The New Adventures of Waldo Kitty bore the original title The Secret Lives of Waldo Kitty when it aired on NBC.
