Uncle Croc's Block
Uncle Croc's Block is a live-action/animated show that aired on ABC.
Uncle Croc was the dissatisfied host of a local TV kids' show where he had to deal with his myriad co-stars and his harried producer. The animated segments of the show were Wacky And Packy (a prehistoric caveman and his pet mammoth in contemporary times), M*U*S*H (a send-up of M*A*S*H, about a team of sled dogs at a medical outpost), and Fraidy Cat (a cat haunted by eight of his nine lives).
The show was getting trounced in the ratings by The Shazam/Isis Hour on CBS and was canceled on February 14, 1976. The poor showing of the show prompted ABC to end any further business relationship with Filmation. The cartoon segments of Uncle Croc's Block went into syndication in the Groovie Goolies & Friends package.
