The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera was a syndicated 90-minute block of first-run cartoons from the Hanna-Barbera studio. It was expanded to two hours in 1986, then began adding new features and replays of past shows as the series went on. By 1989 it would drop the opening umbrella title and closings, with stations airing the shows as individual components but usually back-to-back.
The shows during the years were:
- The Jetsons (new episodes with repeats from ABC)
- The Paw-Paws
- Galtar and the Golden Lance
- Yogi's Treasure Hunt
- Jonny Quest (new episodes)
- The Further Adventures of SuperTed
- Fantastic Max
- Richie Rich (repeats from ABC)
- The Flintstone Kids (repeats from ABC)
- Don Coyote and Sancho Panda
- The Midnight Patrol
- The Pirates of Dark Water (repeats from ABC)
- SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron
- 2 Stupid Dogs
- Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines (repeats from CBS)
- Yo, Yogi! (repeats from NBC)
- Young Robin Hood
Also inserted as interstitials was HBTV, which were cartoon music videos along the lines of the Disney Channel's DTV. Popular songs from the past and contemporary selections were played as corresponding clips from cartoons were shown.
