Oddly enough, the two actors who play the cops in this episode, Noam Pitlik and George Tyne, would both go on to far more successful careers behind the cameras as sitcom directors. Pitlik directed numerous episodes of Barney Miller and Taxi, and Tyne directed such shows as The Odd Couple, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Bob Newhart Show.
