The Drinky Crow Show is an animated comedy on Adult Swim based on the syndicated comic strip Maakies by cartoonist Tony Millionaire.

Previously, Maakies was adapted for television animation as part of Saturday Night Live's TV Funhouse sketches, traditionally produced by Robert Smigel. Six episodes were produced, although only two were aired because the humor wasn't in line with the rest of the show. Of the two, the first was called "Drinky Crow Gets a Job" and starred Andy Richter in the titular role.

The situations caused Millionaire to treat future pitches with skepticism until producer Eric Kaplan, who had worked on Futurama, approached him with a plan to make a pilot episode for Adult Swim. Kaplan wrote the script, with direction from Millionaire, and was able to recruit Futurama alumni Billy West and Dave Herman to voice Drinky Crow and Uncle Gabby, respectively. When production for the pilot went underway, however, West apparently bowed out and was replaced by Dino Stamatopoulos.

The pilot was broadcast on May 13, 2007 during the network's "Night of 1,000 Pilots" along with other future Adult Swim series like Superjail and Fat Guy Stuck in Internet. After taking into consideration voting online and fan reception for the pilots, Drinky Crow was picked up for a full series. It was not renewed after its first season, according to a Maakies comic strip.
