The Black Donnellys is a crime drama from the creators of the Academy Award winning Crash. The series follows four working class Irish-American brothers through their involvement in organized crime in New York City. Originally due to premiere in December of 2006 in ER's timeslot, ER's twilight resurgence of sorts caused NBC to decide to continue to air reruns of that show in its place, causing The Black Donnellys to instead take over Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip's timeslot during its hiatus.
