Following the success of the The Adventures of Pete and Pete shorts, Nickelodeon decided to produce longer, full-length episodes for sporadic broadcast throughout the years. In all, six special episodes were created but, like the shorts, the exact airdates for several of those episodes are unknown. Also like the shorts, many of these episodes were reworked into regular episodes in the main series.
