Prototype is the ninth episode of the ninth season of Stargate SG-1, and the one hundred eighty-third episode overall. SG-1 finds a Goa'uld-Human hybrid in stasis in an abandoned Goa'uld lab and take it back to Earth to study, where they learn it was created using Anubis' DNA.

SG-1 finds a super-evolved offspring of Anubis, Kahlek, in stasis on a planet. SG-1 argues that the man should be destroyed while Woolsley wants him studied in order to gather ideas on how to defeat the Priors of the Ori. Eventually Kahlek escapes, rampages through the SGC and nearly escapes before being shot dead by Daniel Jackson and Mitchell.
