Season Two of Sonic X aired on September 10, 2005. This season has not yet aired in Japan. 4Kids TV referred to this as Season Three, after splitting Season One into two seperate seasons.
Six years have passed since the end of Season One, and Chris is eighteen years old now. He has been working on repairing his grandfather's dimension portal to try to return to Sonic's world. When he finally gets there, he has the appearance of a twelve-year-old again, and learns that only six months have passed in Sonic's world.
This season features a new character, Cosmo. Cosmo seeks the wielder of the Chaos Emeralds, though Sonic has scattered them during his fight with the new enemy, Dark Oak, to protect them from him. Dark Oak and his army of Metarex have stolen the "Planet Eggs", which basically are the life force of the planets. It's up to Sonic and friends to recover the Planet Eggs before all life becomes extinct.
