- Designing Women: Designing Women was a sitcom about four women in working in an interior design firm that ran for seven years (1986–93) on CBS, starring Delta Burke. The ratings for the show were dismal throughout its first season, but it developed such a cult following that it was saved from cancellation at least once. Because the series at the time of airing was no longer on television, it is fair to assume that J.D. was watching the marathon on Lifetime.
- J.D.: In my defense, I was up late watching a 'Designing Women' marathon.
- Body Heat: Body Heat is a movie starring William Hurt and Kathleen Turner about a women who convinces a small-town lawyer to kill her husband during one of the worst heatwaves Florida has known (hence the title).
- Jake: Wow, this 'Body Heats a sexy movie, huh?
