Christa Miller was born to parents Bonnie Trumpeter and Chuck Miller. Though her father wanted her to pursue a career in law, she decided instead to become an actress. She appeared on the cover of many international magazines and landed her first commercial for Polaroid at the age of seventeen. Since moving to Los Angles in 1990, she has given up modelling and focused on her acting. She is most famous for her roles on The Drew Carey Show as Mary Katherine (Kate) O'Brien and Scrubs as Jordan Sullivan.

Both times that Christa was pregnant on Scrubs, so was her character, Jordan.

It was Christa's [third] pregnancy that sparked the revelation that three babies would be born in the sixth season.

Christa is married to Bill Lawrence.

She has three children; daughter Charlotte Sarah, and sons William Stoddard and Henry Van Duzer.

She is good friends with actress Nicole Sullivan.

Christa is very athletic.

She enjoys playing tennis on a compettitive level.

Despite having the same last name, Christa is of no relation to the child who plays her son, Jack on Scrubs

She was raised as a Catholic.

She attended school at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and later married her husband at the church there. Sacred Heart is the name of the hospital on Scrubs.

She is five years older than her husband.

Christa is against circumcision.

At the end of every episode of Scrubs a recording of a child's voice is played. This is her daughter, Charlotte, saying her first words. She is saying "Bye Bye".

She was posing at the age of three for Francesco Scavullo in an Ivory soap advertisement.

She can throw a perfect 40 yard spiral in a family football game.
