Daphne and Velma is the twenty-eighth release in the series of DVD movies based on the long-running Scooby-Doo series. It is the first made-for-DVD feature in live action (fourth overall in the franchise) and had a world premiere April 29, 2018 at the Newport Beach Film Festival before going to DVD/Blu-Ray and digital on-demand on May 22, 2018.
The movie tells of how Scooby-Doo teammates and best friends Daphne Blake first meets Velma Dinkley after Daphne's family moves to the city where Velma attends high school. There they uncover a mystery of students walking around in a trance and subsequently disappearing.
