Episode Overview

Though largely a rebroadcasting of the episode "Bonaparte's Restaurant" from the first season, the remaining five minutes take a shot back at the owner's allegations that Ramsay sunk her restaurant with his television show. A month after he worked with the chefs to whip them into shape and force them to cook decent bistro food, he found that the restaurant was in just as bad condition as it was when he first came. The freezer was disgusting, head chef Tim had no regard for proper preparation of food and customers had once again dwindled down to very few. Ramsay comments in the narration that a health inspector would close them down immediately and the owner, Sue, suggests that she just close down and bow out gracefully before the restaurant takes her down with it. The night that Ramsay returned, Sue and Tim "parted company."

Between then and the second revisit, Sue has made very public complaints about the show and has threatened to sue him. In September 2004, Ramsay went back to Silsdon to find out what exactly has happened. There's no sign of lunch patrons, he can't get through to Sue on the telephone and the people who live there aren't sure what happened. One man believes he heard Bonaparte's was converted into a bar and others say that they would have knocked him out if he treated them like he treated the restaurant. He visits Tim at his home to get a straight answer. Not only are they not cooking any food at all in Bonaparte's, she hasn't bothered to hire a new chef because she doesn't know what she wants from the kitchen. Tim admits that they screwed up and its their fault that Bonaparte's went down the tubes because they didn't pull together and follow Ramsay's advice. During the credit roll, he tells Ramsay that he's been working in television for a stage management firm and doesn't cook professionally anymore. Ramsay demands that he cook an omelet, which he utterly ruins.

Eventually, Ramsay finally meets with Sue, but she refuses to let in the camera at the last moment. She told him that she's looking for a buyer for the place and that she only barely escaped bankruptcy. Even though Tim admitted their failures, she is still convinced that Ramsay sabotaged the restaurant and set her up for failure. He claims that she wasn't able to back up any of her allegations in the meeting. After a long conversation, Ramsay leaves and admits defeat at Bonaparte's.

In the epilogue after the credits, it says that Sue got a firm offer on the restaurant and the Tim has given up television and is back working in the kitchen.
