Behind the Scenes
- Lawsuit: After this episode was aired, Bonaparte's Restaurant continued its downhill slide and the owner, Sue Ray, tumbled towards bankruptcy. She reacted to the broadcast by threatening Ramsay with a lawsuit and very publicly denounced his show as a sham. She claimed that her restaurant's failure was directly caused by the program "faking" the squalor conditions of the kitchen and incompetence of the staff. The London Evening Standard published several articles alleging that the show was deceptively edited and otherwise faked, using Ray as its main source. Ramsay sued the tabloid for libel and won. He was awarded £75,000 plus costs by the High Court.
