Trivia
The Show
- This episode takes place on an entire day. Technically, from everyone's perspective but Sam, it is one of his shortest leaps, along with Tim Fox in "Genesis".
- Many fans believed the episode was cursed, as there are recounts of VCRs or cable glitches when watching the episode. Some even go so far to not refer to the episode by its title, instead calling it "The Halloween Episode" or "The Boogiem*n".

Kiss with History
- The young man working with Joshua is a young Stephen King. Sam mentioning flying knives would seem to inspired his novel Carrie and when his mother picks him up, his St. Bernard shares the name of the titular dog in his book Cujo. Additionally, Joshua's car that Sam drives later is a 1958 Plymouth Fury, just like in Christine.
