Trivia

The Show

Behind the Scenes

  • This was something of a controversial episode. There were concerns around the issue of teen suicide. However, Bellisario insists that the gay themes were the issue. Nevertheless, as the episode was originally going to be set in high school and feature teenagers, the network forced Bellisario to change the script to reflect college age characters instead. Ultimately, there was a loss of about half a million dollars as ad spots were dropped by protesting sponsors and were resold at the last minute at a discounted rate.

Sam: What's that?

Sam: Does it matter?
