On a Roll is a game show pilot from 1986 perhaps for CBS. It cribbed from Mark Goodson's own shows Password Plus and Number Please as well as Wheel of Fortune and High Rollers.

Two contestants use dice in completing a word puzzle. The puzzle has three lines of words and each letter hidden and numbered except for selected letters designated with no numbers. Whoever correctly guesses a famous last name with the letters revealed in reverse controls the dice. The contestant gets four rolls. The number rolled can be used to uncover any letters on the board equaling the roll. The contestant tries to uncover and identify the word on any level which becomes clues to a subject. Rolling doubles or rolling a number where a combination cannot be made ends a player's turn. First to identify the puzzle's subject wins the game.

First to win two games wins the match and $1000. That contestant plays the Lucky Seven bonus. The contestant rolls the dice; whatever comes up is multiplied by $1000, becoming the jackpot the contestant will play for. In sixty seconds, the he/she must identify seven words with each letter revealed in reverse, all seven based on a specific category.
