Basic Information
Ryan Pryce was one of the mysterious Others and lived with them at the barracks in the interior of the island. He held Kate Austen and Sayid Jarrah hostage when they tried to rescue Jack Shephard.
Season Three
When Kate, Sayid and John Locke went to the Barracks to rescue Jack, Ryan and his team found Kate and Sayid and held them hostage. When Sayid told Alexandra Rousseau about her mother being alive, Ryan quickly interrupted and silenced Sayid. Ben Linus had the hostages released in order to insert Juliet Burke as a mole amongst the survivors.
Juliet was tasked by Ben to evaluate the women of the Oceanic survivors and deduce if which were pregnant. Ryan was tasked with leading a strike team on the survivors' camp to kidnap these pregnant women. However, Juliet turned traitor and the survivors sprung a trap on Ryan's team, using dynamite taken from the Black Rock as bombs hidden inside the tents marked for the Others. In the explosions and ensuing gunfight, Ryan lost seven men and women, but captured the three survivors, Bernard, Jin and Sayid who sprung the trap. James "Sawyer" Ford and Juliet attempted to rescue the survivors when Hurley drove the DHARMA bus onto the beach and at Ryan. Ryan attempted to shoot and kill Hurley, but Hurley ran him over and killed him.
