KPHO is the call sign for the CBS affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona. It broadcasts on digital channel 17, showing on tuners as virtual 5 (its original analog spot).

KPHO signed on in 1949 as the first TV station in Phoenix and the only station along the southwest corridor between San Diego and El Paso. It had affiliation with ABC, CBS, NBC and DuMont until Phoenix landed its own sole affiliates (except for Dumont, which folded). KPHO became an independent after that. Meredith bought the station in 1952 and it remains a Meredith station to this day. It was home to a long-running kids show, It's Wallace (later Wallace and Ladmo) which ran from 1953 to 1989.

In 1994, the big network affiliation upheaval took place, with Fox moving from KNXV/ch. 15 to former CBS affiliate KSAZ/channel 10, and CBS moving from KSAZ to KPHO.
