Flash and Substance is the fifth episode of the fifth season of Justice League Unlimited, and the eighty-third episode overall.

Batman and Orion see a different side of the Flash when a rogues' gallery of villains attacks the museum that is opening in his honor.

• Secret Identity: At the beginning of the episode, Flash (as Wally West) is seen working the forensics job originally held in the comics by his uncle Barry Allen.

• Flash Supervillain Sightings: Flash nemeses who appear in the bar without dialogue include (in order of appearance): The Top and Weather Wizard (walking into bar), Fiddler (passed out on bar), Turtle-Man (in a booth in background), the Thinker and Dr. Alchemy (chuckling), Mr. Element (just down the bar), the Pied Piper and Turtle-Man (in booth when heroes enter), Abra Kadabra (in booth then jumping out after heroes enter the bar). This makes the first appearance of all but Weather Wizard and Thinker.

• The Flash Museum: The Flash Museum was built in the first year of the Silver Age Flash's comic book career.
