Amy learns that Michael wants increased custody of Lauren; Amy has to make a decision about whether a 20-year-old man should be charged with a hit & run incident that occured when he was 15 years old and orders a father to pay for his daughter's college education; Maxine deals with divorced parents who are unable to exchange their three young children without fighting with each other; Amy insists on throwing a party for Maxine's 60th birthday even though she doesn't want one.
