Plot Overview
Amy hears the case of an 8-year-old boy who is accused of shaking his baby sister to death, but it is later revealed that the mother is responsible for the baby's death; Amy accepts a date with the father of one of Lauren's classmates and is surprised to learn that he is an attorney scheduled to appear in her courtroom; Vincent struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder over the shooting and tracks down the woman that he saved; Maxine fights to make sure a 10-year-old girl is not placed in the custody of her abusive stepfather, but the court disagrees with her & sends the child back to her parents; in the end, Maxine is surprised when the girl shows up to DCS, covered in blood, confessing that she shot her stepfather to death with a gun that she stole from her foster parents.
