Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space is an animated comedy that aired on CBS. It was a new version of 1970's Josie and the Pussycats.

In this series, the Pussycats are posing for a publicity photo against a rocket ship. Alexandra hogs the camera (what else?) and is yanked back, only she lands in the ship's cockpit and launches it with the others inside as well. The Pussycats are lost in the far reaches of space, where on their first episode they befriend a furry creature named Gleep. The crew travels to different planets on their quest for home and on each planet they encounter trouble and troublemakers.

The show ran to February 1974, where it was replaced by the original Josie show.
