Candice Wilmer (originally Betty) is an employee of the company behind Primatech Paper and was assigned to be Noah Bennet's replacement partner when "The Haitian" went rogue. When he too went rogue, she continued her work for the company by retrieving Sylar's body from the scene of his near death. She changed her name to Michelle and changed her appearance in order to better hide. She was played by Missy Peregrym in the first season and by Rachel Kimsey in her only appearance during the second season.

Biography

Candice has some ambiguouity over what her birth name is and what her normal appearance is since she could make others see her how ever she wanted. One of the companion comics showed that her original name was Betty and her true form was that of an obese teen.

Powers and Abilities

Candice can create elaborate illusions that are completely undetectable by the naked eye or by electronic devices like cameras. She uses this power mainly to disguise her own appearance, which explains the change in actresses between seasons one and two. Her power appears to be completely mental, as Micah's explanation that she's simply bending light doesn't quite explain how she could disguise herself as Noah's wife for such a long time. She also appears to retain her own illusion when she was knocked out by Nikki, but not when she was murdered by Sylar.
