Plot Overview
24/7 Huntzbergers. Rory starts work as Mitchum Huntzberger's intern. And Emily and Richard vie for Most Obsequious honors when they host a dinner for Logan. Lorelai receives a tempting job offer.
During the usual Friday night dinner, Rory lets it drop that she had dinner about a week ago with Logan's family, not mentioning anything about how bad it was. Richard and Emily panic, feeling that they have already waited to long to extend Logan an invitation to dinner. They tell Rory to phone Logan right away to let him know an invitation is forthcoming then rush off to get their agendas to find a time.
Later, when Lorelai hears that Logan is invited to dinner at the Gilmores' house, she is upset because she hasn't had a chance to meet him and get to know him. Later on that night, when Rory is sleeping, Lorelai wakes her up and complains that she wants to go to dinner. Rory says no problem, phone grandma and tell her you want to come.
Rory begins her intership at the paper. She shows up to start the day in a lovely dress and high heels which quickly prove to be a mistake because everyone is moving fast. In her break she phones Logan and begs him for some information, something on his father she can use. Logan says he drinks decaf coffee after 4.
The evening of the Gilmore dinner with Logan, Richard and Emily are nearly salavating at the thought of Rory marrying Logan. They are already planning wedding locations and what the children will look like before he arrives. When he gets they, they fawn over him. During the Gilmore dinner, Logan steals an antique sewing box from the table in the living room and replaces it with a silver lighter he stole from someone else, telling Rory that it is Life and Death Brigade business, and Richard and Emily won't notice.
Emily notices within minutes of returning to the room, and as she berats the maid for stealing the sewing kit, Lorelai gets it from Logan and calls out to her mother that it was on the kitchen table and wasn't visible. Without apologizing to the maid, Emily retrieves the sewing kit from Lorelai.
