180°. The Kims face trouble and everyone pulls together. The Gilmores face troubles and everything falls apart. At school year's end, Rory makes a decision that leaves Lorelai stunned and grieving.

Loralei picks Rory up from the Bridgeport Police Station where she was in holding for stealing a yacht. Mike Armstrong and the Durham Group continue to woe Loralei in an effort to get her to sell the inn and take a consulting job. Luke closes the deal for the Twikam house and has three days to back out if he changes his mind. Lane realizes that the band is stuck in a rutt. Rory decides not to return to Yale next year.
