Zapp Brannigan is a decorated general in the military, voiced by Billy West. As well as his duties in Earth's military, he is also the captain for the D.O.O.P. starship, The Nimbus. He is one of the most frequently reoccuring characters in the series along with his liutennant, Kif Kroker.

• Zapp Brannigan was originally to be voiced by Phil Hartman, but he was murdered before the series went into production. In order to let his spirit live on, Billy West does his best Phil Hartman impression.
