[edit] Trivia

[edit] The Show

  • This is the only episode that Kiff appears without Zapp.

[edit] Behind the Scenes

  • Sigourney Weaver was apparantly not going to guest star until seeing an episode with an Aliens reference.

[edit] Allusions and References

  • The scene where the Planet Express ship chases Bender in cyberspace is a reference to Tron. The green letters in cyber space are an apparent reference to the Matrix.
  • When Leela says Shields on full Yarnell it is a reference to Shields & Yarnell, who were a male-female comedy team who made occasional appearances on the Sullivan show in late 60's-70's.
  • Lrr is watching an episode of Friends at one point in the episode.
  • The Luvvy Bears are an apparent reference to the Care Bears.

[edit] Memorable Moments

[edit] Quotes

  • Lrr: This is ancient Earth's most foolish program! Why does Ross, the largest Friend, not simply eat the others?
  • Fry: You could've picked a better time to dump the ship, Bender.
Bender: The moment seemed right. Call me old fashioned, but I like a dump to be as memorable as it is devastating.
