Plot Overview

Pratt treats a young boy with a suspicious gash on his chest and calls social worker Wendall for help, but he allows the boy to leave with his family before Wendall could see him; the boy later returns to the ER with severe injuries; Luka treats a man who was shot after confronting his boss with a gun and disagrees with Dubenko over the man's treatment; Susan works on getting grants for the ER in order to better her chances of getting tenure; Jake switches his shifts in an effort to go on a date with Abby.
