Plot Overview

With Yuzu and Karin safely at home, Ichigo goes off in search of Uryu to try and stop his mad plan. However, he completely forgets about the spirit energy inhabiting Orihime and Tatsuki. Orihime tries to get Tatsuki and Chizuru away from the dojo calmly before they get hurt by the hollow that's watching them. It disappears briefly, but reappears after Tatsuki runs off in the opposite direction. Orihime tries to make Chizuru run away but she's struck by some kind of goo that controls her body. But she isn't the first to be attacked, dozens also have their bodies controlled by the creature. Before all of the zombies move in on her, Tatsuki returns to save the day until she, too, gets hit by one of the seeds. The effects don't take hold until Tatsuki pisses the hollow off and it hits her with three more seeds.

After an inner monologue about how she doesn't cut her hair as a symbol of her trust in Tatsuki, her own powers activate. Six "princess shielding flowers" appear and circle around her before informing her that they're part of her soul and were born because of an incident involving Ichigo. They tell her how to call out their powers and, with their help, defeat the hollow. They also help her heal Tatsuki.

She passes out after using all of her powers at once, but Urahara shows up to rescue her with Chad in tow. Isshin and Yuzu are brought out to the spot on the soccer field where Chad was, but, of course, he's long gone. Orihime wakes up in Urahara's shop later and he brings them up to speed on what's happening and their powers. While they start to learn, Kon and Rukia fight off a hollow and Uryu appears in what he claims to be a "safe zone." But, despite he his posturing to Rukia, he knows that far more hollows coming than he anticipated and that his power is draining fast. Ichigo deals with the hollow bearing down on the three and at last catches up with Uryu.
