Bill Moyers Journal is a documentary news program and occasional talk show that was broadcast on PBS, and is the third version of Bill Moyers Journal. The series is hosted by former Newsday publisher and noted journalist Bill Moyers. In each episode, Moyers takes an approach similar to news magazine programs like 60 Minutes where the content is made up of in-depth coverage of the news of the day.
This series began 25 years after the last version, starting with a special documentary about the media and its role in selling the War in Iraq. The 90-minute report was the first in a planned 99 episodes running through February 2009, although it continued beyond that, and Bill Moyers decided he will retire from weekly television, ending the series in April 2010.
